We will be having a virtual Forum to discuss the film LOVE IN THE TIME OF FENTANYL.
Set in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, LOVE IN THE TIME OF FENTANYL is an intimate, observational look beyond the stigma of injection drug users, revealing the courage of those facing terrible tragedy in a neighborhood often referred to as ground zero of the overdose crisis.
The movie follows a group of misfits, artists, and drug users who operate a renegade safe injection site in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. It portrays a community fighting to save lives and keep hope alive in a neighborhood ravaged by the overdose crisis.
You can view the film at your leisure on the PBS streaming site Independent Lens Love in the Time of Fentanyl | Vancouver's Overdose Prevention Society Saves Lives (pbs.org)
We will then get together on zoom to discuss the film. We look forward to hearing your thoughts.
